Trinity
Art Studio
Covenant
Sanctuary Studio is located in Trinity Covenant Church.
It is a build up and take down studio used once per week
on Mondays between the hours of 11 am and 9 pm. The
artists work at banquet tables with the appropriate
movable lighting.
The studio
storage closet contains many artistic mediums from
polymer clay, glass, vintage and plastic beads with
jewelry findings, paint & brushes for acrylic decorative
and painting on canvas; yarn, crochet and knitting
needles; calico fabrics for quilting, mosaic tiles,
grout, and many more supplies and equipment for
practically any craft or fine art you desire to create.
Books, magazines and instructional booklets are also
available for inspiration.
You are
welcome to bring your own supplies and although
donations are not required, we will gladly
receive any type of fine art and craft supply donation you may wish to give to the
studio for community use. Please request a gift letter
for tax purposes.
Drop
in or Spend the Day
We begin our day at 11am with an Open Studio. Coffee,
tea and muffins are available as well as a comfortable
sitting area for breaks.
On the
first and third Mondays of the month we feature a studio
artist in a show and tell setting with a project in
progress or a completed piece.
This is
an opportunity to learn and explore something new.
At 1pm we offer a break for Spiritual Refreshment in our
sitting area. We use the mid-day office from the Book of
Common Prayer led by Helen Stone. At 1:30 soup or stew
is served after which the studio is open until 4pm. Feel
free to ask anyone in the Open Studio area for advice or
help with your chosen project.
The evening Open Studio opens at 6pm with a separate
optional class offered at 6:30pm, twice per month. Coffee, tea and
muffins continue to be available as well as a
comfortable sitting area for breaks. Spiritual
Refreshment is again offered at 8:30pm with the studio
closing at 9pm.
*Note
~ A suggested donation of $2 per week is greatly appreciated
to maintain operating expenses.
